Students are invited to join Brendan McCord, Senior Advisor for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Department of Defense, for an informal conversation about his work on the intersection of AI and national security. This “Coffee Talk” will be before his National Security Forum Lecture on Feb 28 titled “Transforming the U.S. Department of Defense,” which is at 7 pm in the ELC Forum.

McCord is an expert on AI and national security who helped launch the Joint AI Center and was Head of Machine Learning at the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental at the Department of Defense. He is also an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security, and he served as a fast attack submarine officer in the US Navy.
